Day 2 - June 15th, 2010 Wall, SD to Cody, WY

Packed up and on the bikes early due to the train whistles in Wall blasting every few minutes.  Will never camp in Wall, SD again with their 4AM train noise.

Had very limited visibility with the early morning fog.  Stopped for breakfast before Rapid City and waited for the fog to clear.  The weather went from fog in the early morning to sun in the afternoon and finally some rain in the late afternoon.  Then the late afternoon weather turned ugly.  Rain, thunder and some serious lightning.  We stopped in Garland, WY (population 50!) because of the lightning.  It's a small town with no gas or food stops, so we found some old metal containers to hang out in and stay dry until we realized that the large amount of metal might actually attract lightning.

The weather cleared up and we continued on to Cody, WY.  Rode the Highway 14 alternate thru the Bighorn Mountains.  Great vistas.  Need to make a return trip to Cody; seemed to have many tourist and historical things to do.  We rode 442 miles today.  As such, not a lot of pictures today.
